History

It was the first step in medical sector by CMC sisters. It was the dream for holy queens province, Changanacherry to build a hospital in Nooranad area in the name of blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara. The starting event of those incidents emerged after the donation of 4 acres of land at Nooranad by Rev. Fr. Probose, CMI to changanacherry province.

Inaugural function of dispensary was blessed by Rev.Antony Padiyara. The hospital started its maternity ward from 26th November, 1973 by Rev.Mother Gonsaga (Provincial Superior) and the block was inaugurated by Rev.Antony Padiyara.

Doctors quarters was build on 24th June 1974. A new ward was build on 10th Oct. 1979. On the leadership of the counselor of the congregation Sr. Treasa Margaret in 1986 a building for staff was established. In 1994 April 5th a new x-ray unit was established and an ambulance was purchased. KCM Hospital is a specialized center for the treatment of snake bit in Nooranad area. The emergence of Psychiatric ward with specialized de addiction centre started in 25th may 2005 is the glorious revolution and the new milestone in the development and in the history of KCM Hospital, Nooranad.
